Compliance & Legal Specialist

WE ARE HIRING | COMPLIANCE & LEGAL SPECIALIST

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Compliance & Legal Specialist to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be a legal professional with at least 5 years of relevant experience, very good and up-to-date knowledge of Albanian legislation and regulatory requirements, and experience or a strong professional background in compliance, corporate and commercial law.

The role combines legal responsibilities with a particular focus on regulatory compliance, internal policies and procedures, and legal risk management.

Duties

Key Responsibilities

• Support the development, implementation and ongoing improvement of the Company's compliance framework, internal policies and procedures;
• Monitor compliance with applicable Albanian legislation, regulatory requirements and internal policies;
• Monitor legislative and regulatory developments, assess their potential impact on the Company's activities and support the implementation of necessary changes;
• Identify and assess legal and compliance risks and recommend appropriate preventive and mitigation measures;
• Draft, review and negotiate commercial agreements, contracts and other legal documentation in Albanian and English;
• Provide legal support on corporate and commercial law matters, including contractual relationships with local and international partners;
• Support the preparation, review and implementation of internal policies, procedures, guidelines and other compliance documentation;
• Provide support on matters related to data protection and privacy, employment law, licensing and regulatory requirements, and real estate, where applicable;
• Support internal compliance reviews and follow up on identified issues and corrective actions;
• Provide legal support in relation to disputes, claims and other legal proceedings involving the Company.

Qualifications

• University degree in Law;
• Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience in legal and/or compliance functions, preferably within a corporate environment, law firm, regulated business;
• Very good knowledge of Albanian legislation and the regulatory framework;
  Proven experience in compliance/regulatory matters, commercial contracts and corporate law;
• Strong drafting, analytical and negotiation skills;
• Ability to identify legal and compliance risks and provide clear, practical and business-oriented solutions;
• Knowledge of data protection and privacy, employment law, licensing/regulatory matters and real estate will be considered an advantage;
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken, including the ability to draft and negotiate legal documentation in English;
• Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills, with a high level of professionalism, integrity and confidentiality.
