Functional Analyst - Neptun International

Summary:

The Functional Analyst serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders and the technical team. The role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and translating business requirements into functional specifications, ensuring that business needs are effectively met through appropriate and innovative solutions or process enhancements. The focus of this role will be the retail ecosystem of Neptun Companies

Duties

Main Responsibilities:

• Work closely with business units focusing mostly on retail operations, merchandising, e-commerce and customer service, to understand and document business requirements, processes, and workflows.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications and use cases.
• Collaborate with developers, system architects, and QA teams to ensure accurate implementation of functional requirements.
• Participate in system design sessions, solution evaluations, and testing processes.
• Propose digital solutions and system re-designs based on digital knowledge and gathered business requirements.
• Analyze end-to-end business processes across store and online channels and translate them into functional requirements for the systems that support them
• Design and specify the data flows between retail systems such as POS, ERP, e-commerce and warehouse platforms, defining which system owns which data and how it stays aligned across channels.
• Assist in user acceptance testing (UAT) by preparing test cases, coordinating testing activities, and validating results and validating results across retail channels and processes,
• Propose enhancements to the existing systems and support in the implementation of new systems, including new store openings, POS rollouts and e-commerce releases.
• Identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities and propose effective solutions.
• Provide post-implementation support and coordinate issue resolution.
• Maintain documentation for functional processes, requirements, and system configurations.
• Prepare manuals/documentation for new systems/functionalities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Informatics or Information Systems.
• Excellent communication skills in English (verbal and written).
• Strong sense of urgency, proactive, adaptable, and resourceful with a pragmatic, solution focused approach.
• Problem-solving skills to find multiple viable solutions for a challenge
• Good business knowledge of retail systems: POS, ERP, e-commerce platforms, WMS, PIM, and CRM/Loyalty among others.
• Good functional knowledge and expertise in the above-mentioned systems
• Experience in tech companies and consulting industries is highly valued; experience in retail industry is a strong advantage.
• Good knowledge of tools used for parametrization, troubleshooting, configuration management tools, automated testing, etc.
• Good knowledge of issue tracking systems (Zoho, Jira, Freshdesk, etc.)
• Very good knowledge of Microsoft Office package and Visio.
