Lift Hostess
About the job
As a Hostess Lift, you are the first point of contact for clients, creating a warm welcome and an unforgettable introduction to our hospitality experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, a professional and friendly attitude, and the ability to manage guest flow in a dynamic, high-volume environment.
Duties
- Welcoming clients with a smile and a professional greeting;
- Accompanying guests to their tables and making a great first impression;
- Managing the waiting list and seating chart, optimizing table turnover while respecting guest preferences;
- Providing accurate wait times and managing guest expectations during busy periods;
- Answering phone calls, handling reservations, menu inquiries, special requests, or general information about Lift;
- Maintaining a clean, organized, and visually appealing reception stand (menus, reservation lists, informational materials);
- Assisting with operational tasks such as directing guests within the venue, supporting the bar area, and coat check when necessary;
- Occasionally supporting the service area as needed.
Qualifications
- The ideal candidate for Lift should embody our values and bring: A passion for gastronomy, wines, and social tapas experiences;
- Previous experience as a Hostess or Receptionist in a premium or high-volume setting;
- Strong communication skills, polished manners, and a positive, open demeanor;
- Familiarity with reservation systems such as SevenRooms (or similar) is preferred;
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
