Job Description – Quality Manager

The Quality Manager is responsible for designing, maintaining, and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS) across all units of AZ Group. They ensure that quality processes, procedures, and standards are implemented in compliance with legal requirements, company certifications, international standards, and the company’s strategic objectives. This role has independent authority in quality-related decision-making and reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Duties

• Main duties and responsibilities: Develops, maintains, and improves the Quality Management System (QMS) across all group units.
• Develops, standardizes, and controls standard operating procedures (SOPs), guidelines, forms, and quality documentation.
• Manages document control, versioning, approvals, and periodic reviews.
• Ensures procedures are implemented on-site and trains relevant staff on quality standards.
• Manages the nonconformity process and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), conducting root cause analysis and following up on actions until closure.
• Leads and coordinates internal audits, external audits, certification audits, and client audits.
• Maintains and renews company certifications and ensures compliance with standards and regulatory requirements.
• Defines quality standards for raw materials, suppliers, and in-process controls during production.
• Ensures traceability of batches and production records according to client and certification requirements.
• Develops staff capabilities and promotes a quality culture throughout the organization.
• Defines, monitors, and reports key quality performance indicators (KPIs) and quality-related risks to the Board of Directors.

Qualifications

• Higher education in food technology, chemistry/biochemistry, biology, chemical/industrial engineering, or related fields, or in business management (with verifiable training and practical experience in QMS).
• Minimum 5–7 years of experience in a quality management role within an industrial production environment.
• Proven experience in developing and implementing procedures (SOPs) and managing a QMS.
• Practical knowledge of HACCP, ISO 9001 & ISO 22000.
• Experience preparing for and successfully passing external and certification audits.
• Very good knowledge of English (clients, auditors, and EU documentation).
• Willingness to work at the location in Lezhë.
