AlbMarket Supermarket Manager

The Supermarket Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily store operations, meeting financial targets, managing staff, and ensuring an excellent shopping experience for customers. This role requires balancing logistical organization, team leadership, and commercial analysis.

Duties

• Operational Management & Stock:
• Monitoring supplies, goods inflow and outflow, and conducting periodic inventories.
• Supervising product placement on shelves according to merchandising standards and planned layouts.
• Checking expiration dates and implementing procedures for disposal or price reductions.
• Staff Management:
• Recruiting, training, and evaluating the performance of cashiers, stockers, and other employees.
• Creating work schedules and managing shifts to cover peak hours.
• Motivating the team to maintain high service standards and discipline.
• Customer Service & Sales:
• Handling complaints or special requests from customers professionally.
• Ensuring the implementation of offers, promotions, and special price campaigns.
• Monitoring key sales indicators (KPIs) and achieving monthly targets.
• Standards, Safety & Finance:
• Monitoring cash registers, reconciling daily turnover, and submitting funds according to procedures.
• Strictly applying hygiene, food safety (HACCP/AKU), and workplace safety standards.
• Ensuring all store equipment (refrigerators, cash registers, scales) are in working condition.

Qualifications

• Education: University degree in Business Administration, Management, Economics, or related fields.
• Experience: Minimum 2–3 years of work experience in retail management (preferably in supermarkets or FMCG sector).
• Technical Skills:
• Very good knowledge of POS systems and NAV financial software.
• Knowledge of labor legislation and food safety regulations.
• Personal Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to work under pressure.
