Progeen is seeking a Procurement Specialist with an engineering background and experience in a construction company.
Position: Procurement Specialist (knowledgeable in construction materials)
Location: Tirana
Role Summary: The Procurement Specialist in a construction company creates and maintains the database of sellers and suppliers according to the company’s objectives and purpose. They carry out the procurement process according to requirements while respecting the budget of the company’s specific projects.
Duties
- Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct research and evaluations on potential suppliers to secure the necessary products and/or materials according to the specifications and requirements of the respective project;
- Prepare requests for quotations based on the needs for products and/or materials requested by various company departments;
- Analyze received offers and any other information or data to determine the best offer in line with the project requirements and technical specifications of the requested products and/or materials;
- Meet with suppliers to establish sales terms, product and/or material availability, and negotiate more favorable offer conditions;
- Coordinate with suppliers and/or the logistics department regarding orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve issues related to undelivered orders;
- Prepare and update the database, statistics, and reports for suppliers and sellers;
- Prepare the procurement schedule, monitor it, and update it according to the needs of the company’s construction sites;
- Stay informed about market trends;
- Other tasks as assigned.
Qualifications
- Other Skills: Degree in Economic Engineering or other engineering fields;
- Relevant work experience in a construction company;
- Excellent communication skills, teamwork ability, and dedication to following through and completing tasks;
- Ability to successfully meet objectives on time;
- Analytical, negotiation, and interpersonal skills;
- Proficiency in using MS Office and MS Projects.
