Senior Specialist in the Compliance Unit

The Senior Specialist in the Compliance Unit supports the Compliance and AML Department in identifying, monitoring, and managing regulatory compliance risks. This role helps ensure the Bank operates in compliance with applicable laws and regulations, internal policies, ethical standards, and industry best practices.

Duties

• The successful candidate will: Monitor regulatory developments and evaluate their impact on the Bank's activities and compliance framework.
• Review internal policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Support the development, maintenance, and enhancement of the Bank's compliance policies and controls.
• Participate in compliance reviews, testing programs, and control activities to identify non-compliance cases and recommend corrective actions.
• Assist in conducting compliance risk assessments for new products, services, processes, and systems.
• Monitor the implementation and follow-up of action plans and corrective measures in the compliance area.
• Support regulatory compliance initiatives related to FATCA, CRS, customer due diligence, and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Provide guidance and advice on compliance matters to business units, operations, and the branch network.
• Review customer complaints from a compliance perspective and monitor emerging trends and risks.
• Assist in preparing and developing compliance awareness and training programs.
• Maintain necessary documentation and records related to compliance reviews, controls, and assessments.
• Support cooperation with regulatory authorities and other external parties on compliance-related matters.
• Contribute to promoting a strong culture of compliance and ethical behavior throughout the Bank.

Qualifications

• Education Bachelor's degree in Law, Economics, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Experience Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in the banking sector, compliance, internal audit, risk management, regulatory affairs, or related fields.
• Technical Knowledge Good knowledge of banking regulations and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Knowledge of compliance risk management principles and regulatory framework.
• Knowledge of FATCA, QI, CRS, customer due diligence processes, and regulatory reporting requirements is considered an advantage.
• Good knowledge of banking products and services.
• Skills and Competencies Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently.
• Good organizational and time management skills.
• High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Ability to build effective working relationships at all organizational levels.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Very good command of English, both written and spoken.
