About the job
We are seeking a talented Waiter/Waitress to join our team at SALT. Our waitstaff are hardworking, dedicated, and always strive to deliver the superior level of customer service that defines us. Our teams are full of personality and confidence, capable of working at a fast pace while consistently maintaining SALT's high standards.
Duties
- Providing warm and efficient service that enhances guest satisfaction;
- Keeping the pass area organized and monitoring tables to anticipate service needs;
- Responding quickly and professionally to guest requests, ensuring a smooth and seamless experience;
- Preparing the restaurant according to standards and following cleaning routines to maintain a welcoming environment;
- Knowing the menu and products to assist guests confidently and professionally;
- Presenting the menu and providing detailed information (about portions, ingredients, or possible food allergies);
- Suggesting upsell and cross-sell strategies (add-ons, combos, premium items);
- Taking orders accurately using the POS according to the manual standards;
- Prioritizing any complaints or special requests, following management protocols;
- Supporting new staff members through training and guidance, helping them deliver exceptional service;
- Respecting the service manual and brand standards;
- Implementing food safety and hygiene rules;
- Wearing a proper uniform and maintaining a professional appearance.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in service;
- Passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience and willingness to learn;
- Previous experience in a luxury restaurant or high-volume environment;
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously;
- Good knowledge of the menu, suggestions, and upselling;
- Basic use of POS;
- Strong communication skills;
- Cooperative and a good team player;
- Knowledge of the English language.
